Ajahn Visuddhi

Ajahn Visuddhi was born in London in 1942. After establishing a career in graphic design, at age 32 he left grey old London for Eastern shores, in search of things exotic and wonderful.

But he never expected the wonder that would turn his world upside-down: "The Teachings of the Buddha".

Back in London he pursued his fascination with Buddhism until eventually he felt that a life of contemplation was the only meaningful thing for him. In 1985 he received ordination at Wat Pa Nanachat, a forest monastery for English speaking disciples of Ajahn Chah in Thailand.

Since then he has practiced at branch monasteries of Ajahn Chah around the world.
