Ajahn Khemavaro

Ven. Ajahn Khemavaro was born in Vietnam in 1966. At the age of nine he moved with his family to live in California, USA. He obtained his BA in Philosophy at Claremont McKenna College, South California. After graduating he worked as a financial analyst and stockbroker in Bangkok. When the stock market crashed he became interested in Buddhism and meditation. He began his monastic training at Wat Pa Nanachat (International Forest Monastery) Thailand in 1999 and took his higher ordination in 2000 at Ajahn Chah’s Forest Tradition. Ven Khemavaro has been living at Bodhinyana Monastery for the past seven years.
